How Much Does a Cover Band Cost?

How the lineup, duration, date, equipment and travel affect a live-band quote, and what to agree before booking.

“How much does a cover band cost?” is the first question for almost every event. The honest answer is that it depends on the lineup, duration, date and city. Below are the formats and details used to prepare a quote.

Formats to discuss

Start with the role of music in your event:

Format Purpose Details needed for a quote
Acoustic set Welcome reception or ceremony Instruments, duration and sound setup
Compact lineup Dinner or a smaller venue Vocals, instruments and performance space
Main programme Concert and dance sets Musicians, number of sets, breaks and songs
Extended lineup Additional musicians Lineup, stage, technical rider and rehearsals

We confirm the price after checking the date, musicians and venue. Welcome sets, extra blocks, a DJ, equipment and travel are listed in the proposal when requested.

What changes the price

Lineup. This is the main factor. More singers and instruments create a fuller sound and broader repertoire, but they also cost more. The best lineup is often the one matched precisely to the venue rather than the largest possible band.

Duration. The standard is two 45-minute sets or three 30-minute sets. A welcome set, extra blocks and work into the early hours are priced separately.

Date. Availability and rates depend on the exact date. For December and New Year events, we confirm the lineup and booking conditions separately.

City and logistics. The location affects transport, accommodation and scheduling. We agree these costs for the specific venue and route.

Sound, lighting and stage. We bring the band's instruments. The venue usually supplies powerful front-of-house sound, lighting and the stage; if you need us to arrange them, they appear as separate transparent lines in the quote.

Additional options. A bespoke song about your story, a themed Italian, Latin or retro program, and guest interaction on stage can all be added to the core format.

Why the lowest price is rarely the best target

Live music is a central part of the evening. When comparing proposals, check who will perform, hear that lineup, and confirm preparation, equipment and any substitution conditions.

It is still possible to stay within budget. A smaller lineup or shorter programme may fit your budget. We can discuss these options against the tasks and timing of your event.

How to get an exact quote

Send three details on WhatsApp: date, venue or city, and event format. We will check availability and prepare a proposal with the lineup, timing and itemised price before you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers,
straight to the point.

How much does a cover band cost for a wedding or corporate event in Moscow?

We calculate the price for your date, venue, lineup and duration. Send those details and your budget so we can check musician availability and prepare an itemised quote.

What is included in the performance price?

The proposal specifies the musicians, agreed programme duration, repertoire preparation and equipment. Welcome sets, a DJ, additional sound, lighting, stage and travel are agreed and priced separately when requested.

Why are December prices higher?

Late December and New Year corporate events are peak season. Musicians may perform several events in one day, so those dates have a separate rate and are booked first.

Can we work with a smaller budget?

Yes, by adjusting the lineup and duration. A duo or compact band for the welcome and ceremony costs considerably less than a full lineup for the entire evening.

How much does travel outside Moscow cost?

Performances in other cities and abroad include travel, accommodation and schedule costs. Multi-day tours use a daily rate. Send the city and dates for an exact figure.
